Original school in 1966

Founded in 1966, PDO School was the first international school in Oman.  We are proud of our tradition of providing a world class education that respects and values the wide range of cultures represented by our children and their families. Relocated in 2015 to our current outstanding, purpose built facilities, PDO School continues to be at the heart of the Ras al Hamra community.

Oman National Day

Celebrating the history and culture of our host country

Experiencing another culture helps children learn and develop by expanding their perspectives, fostering empathy, and enhancing social skills. It encourages open-mindedness, adaptability, and respect for diversity, making children more resilient and better equipped to navigate a globalized world. Exposure to different traditions, languages, and ways of thinking also promotes curiosity and cognitive flexibility, which are valuable for problem-solving and critical thinking.
